Who we are
Specialist Compare is operated by Specialist Compare Pty Ltd. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share information when you use Specialist Compare.
What information we collect
- Quiz information. The answers you give about the insurance you are looking for, such as farm type, trade, caravan type and state or territory.
- Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number and other information you choose to include when you contact Specialist Compare.
- Usage and technical information. Information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, quiz steps and links clicked, plus technical information collected through analytics tools.
- Communications. Information contained in emails or other messages you send us.
How we use information
We may use information to operate the comparison, show provider results, respond to enquiries, understand how the site is used and improve Specialist Compare.
Provider websites
Specialist Compare does not currently collect your contact details through the quiz or send your quiz answers or contact information to providers.
If you choose to follow a link to a provider, you leave Specialist Compare and deal with that provider directly. The provider's own privacy practices then apply.
Service providers and analytics
We use service providers to help operate Specialist Compare, including website hosting, database, analytics and technology providers. They may process information on our behalf.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
Access and correction
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@specialistcompare.com.au.
You can also ask us to delete information. We will consider the request subject to any legal or operational requirements that apply.
